The Person Behind the Tools

Samuel Y. Baiden

IT professional based in Copenhagen, Denmark. I work in enterprise IT by day and build free Mac tools in my spare time — because the problems that annoy me at work tend to annoy a lot of other people too.

Your IT Solution is my personal project space where I ship those tools publicly instead of letting them sit on my own machine.

Background

Enterprise IT, Apple platforms, and Microsoft infrastructure.

Apple-focused

I have been working with Apple platforms in enterprise environments for years. That experience shapes how I build tools — native macOS first, no compromises on the experience just because it is an admin app.

Microsoft and Intune

Managing Microsoft environments — Active Directory, Windows deployments, and now modern Intune and Entra tenants — is a large part of my professional background. SAB Workspace grew directly out of that day-to-day work.

Virtualization and infrastructure

Testing and staging environments matter. SAB VM Lab came from wanting a clean, native way to spin up macOS VMs on Apple silicon without fighting third-party abstractions.

Education and early training

Formal IT education at IT-Akademiet covering hardware, software, networking, Java programming, object-oriented analysis and design, and project management — followed by two decades of hands-on enterprise experience.

Fair warning: some of these have technically expired. The knowledge did not — just the paperwork. Renewals are on the list, somewhere between "finishing the next app" and "getting more sleep." They will happen. Probably.

Why I Build This

Tools I needed, shared so others do not have to start from scratch.

Scratch your own itch

Every app here started as something I personally needed. I ran into a frustration, wrote something to fix it, and then made it properly releasable so it could help the next person who hits the same wall.

Always free

This is hobby work, not a business. I am not trying to monetize admin pain. The tools are free and I intend to keep them that way.
